We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Housekeeping Manager to join our hospitality team. As the head of our housekeeping department for a 600-room property, where you oversee between 25 - 30 associates...you recruit, hire, and train housekeeping associates, perform daily inspections of rooms and public areas and ensure exceptional service to all customers. Additionally, you ensure adequate inventory levels of cleaning products, deliver vacuums and other equipment for regular maintenance, and collaborate with other department heads and managers to create an enjoyable experience for every guest. Our ideal candidate has five or more years of experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in a leadership role.
Responsibilities:
- Will perform daily inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure that the spaces are up to standard for guest occupancy and traffic.
- Will train new associates.
- Must be able to perform staff reviews and encourage teamwork among staff.
- Must be able to Resolve customer problems and complaints.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be able to lead by example and follow company standards and policies.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, both oral and written.
- Must have the ability to lead, provide direction and guidance to staff, other department peers and or as needed to provide information about department performance, needs, etc.
- Must be able to prioritize departmental functions and assign work to department staff to meet due dates and deadlines.
- Must be able to multi-task and plan work for the day, week and month for self and others.
- Must, at all times, be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, and other team members.
- Will ensure housekeeping staff is aware of and follows proper safety standards. Mist be familiar with Emergency Procedures to direct and provide guidance accordingly.
- Will support other operational needs to ensure adequate supplies and materials are in stock and the department is operating according to budget.
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in an attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Company standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards)
- Ensure the proper use of radio etiquette within the housekeeping department when using communication devices or methods with team members.
- Ensure compliance to company and brand training using the steps to effective training according to the Company standards.
- Ensure guest privacy and security by correctly following the Company procedures.
- Motivate coach counsel and discipline all housekeeping associates according to the Company S.O.P.'s., hotel policies, etc.
- Respond to emergency situations using information contained in M.S.D. sheets. Keep M.S.D. sheets current and easily available. Must be able complete and relay information in an incident report.
- Focus the Housekeeping Department on its role in contributing to the guest service scores.
- Ensure that associates are at all times attentive friendly helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and other associates.
- Must be able to oversee stay payroll, including timesheet punches, scheduling, etc.

Requirements/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Prior supervisory experience in a hospitality setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Five or more years of experience in the hospitality industry
