A housekeeper’s main responsibility is to provide clean and comfortable guest rooms in line with Brand Standars standards, while ensuring guests satisfaction by providing friendly and courteous service.

Essential Functions
1. Assists all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction.
2. Thoroughly and correctly cleans and sets up guest rooms according to Venerts Hotel Management Inc. operational policies and standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
Removes soiled bed and bath linens and replaces with clean linens.
Removes trash and debris from guest room.
Cleans all surfaces in bathroom area.
Dusts all surfaces.
Replenishes promotional materials/literature.
Replenishes room amenities.
Vacuums rooms.
Follows E.T.C. (Extra Thoughtful Care) procedures in stay-over rooms.
Reports unusual circumstances to supervisor.
Reports maintenance requests promptly.
Turns in articles left in rooms to supervisor on duty to log and lost and found handling.
3. Maintains a clean and orderly cart and vacuum cleaner to maximize job efficiency.
4. Reports all DO NOT DISTURB or bolted door rooms to the supervisor on duty at the specified time to ensure guest safety and maximize guest satisfaction
5. Organizes storage areas to ensure the quality of the contents and to maximize job efficiency.
Notify supervisor if you take the last of any item in the storage area each day.
Restocks storage rooms and/or carts at the beginning and end of each day if requested by Head Housekeeper.
Return any stained or damaged linen to the laundry room for proper treatment.
6. Helps maintain Locked linen closets, linen chutes, and trash chutes to ensure maximum safety and security at all times.
7. Acquires working knowledge of the property and all facilities to respond to guest questions effectively.
8. Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests.
9. Performs other duties as requested or required.
Qualification Standards
1. Ability to accept directions and priorities from supervisor and reliably follow-through on tasks.
2. Ability to perform job duties with a minimum of disruption to the guest.
3. Ability to be friendly and cheerful; interact easily with strangers.
4. Ability to cooperate and support others.
5. Ability to work independently with little supervision or as a team.
6. Ability to safely work with cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals including: vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops, etc.
7. Good hand dexterity required to dust, polish, make beds, fold towels, etc.
8. Grooming must meet property standards.
9. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, be in good physical condition, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above your head and lifting up to 50# or more may be required.
