Job Title: Housekeeping Associate - Senior Living Community

Job Description:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Housekeeper to join our team at Monte Vista Grove Homes. As a Housekeeper, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our residents’ living spaces are clean, safe, and comfortable. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our senior residents by providing them with a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing resident rooms, common areas, and administrative offices.

• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors, to maintain a hygienic environment.

• Change bed linens and replace towels as needed to ensure residents’ comfort and satisfaction.

• Dispose of waste and recyclables according to facility guidelines, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.

• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries to ensure availability for residents and staff.

• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance personnel promptly.

• Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.

• Provide friendly and courteous service to residents and staff, responding to their needs and requests with professionalism and empathy.

• Adhere to all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a related field is preferred but not required.

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of facilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with residents, staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with senior residents, demonstrating empathy and respect for their needs and preferences.

• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting, as required by the job.

• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.

• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed to ensure adequate coverage for our residents.
