Position Summary:

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will support the functions of the Maria Parham Health HR office. Maintains compliance with organization’s policies, as well as established practices, protocols, and procedures of the position, department, and applicable professional standards. Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and TJC standards and/or standards from other accrediting bodies.

Reports To: Human Resources Director


Responsibilities of the Position

Assists in the day-to-day operations of the HR Department.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations

Compiling and updating employee records

Providing clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives

Deals with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations

Processes documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.)

Promotes a culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention.

Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in related scope of role or practice.

Maintains compliance with organization's policies, as well as established practices, protocols, and procedures of the position, department, and applicable professional standards.

Participates in ongoing quality improvement activities.

Complies with organizational and regulatory policies for handling confidential patient information.

Demonstrates excellent customer service through his/her attitude and actions, consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization.

Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements and the TJC standards and or standards from other accrediting bodies.


Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or GED is required.


Minimum Work Experience:

Five (5) years of clerical experience, three (3) of which must have included supervision, organization, coordination, and performance of duties at a responsible level is preferred.

Excellent organizational skills

Strong communications skills
