Job Description
What you'll do:
- Ensure clean and sanitary Facilities (for example, offices, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, elevators, parking lots) under direct supervision, and minimizes disturbances to customers by emptying waste receptacles and recycle bins; dusting, sweeping, and wet mopping; cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and showers; vacuuming and spot-cleaning carpets; ensuring toiletry dispensers are full; wiping microwaves and tables; cleaning windows; dusting high and low areas; and identifying and reacting to cleaning needs.
- Maintain custodial equipment by cleaning and organizing janitorial closet; ensuring cleanliness; and returning cleaning supplies to maintenance area.
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations (for example, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, state health department regulations) by following safety guidelines; wearing personal protective equipment (PPE); and using equipment and cleaning products according to guidelines.
- Assist in Facilities support by setting up rooms for special events; collecting and transporting recyclables; and reporting Facility issues (for example, roof leaks, power outages) to management.
- Maintain floor care equipment and personal protection equipment (PPE) by cleaning; replacing filters and vacuum bag hoppers; and inspecting battery water level checks.
- Complete work assignments and priorities in Custodial Services by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with Managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open-Door policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with sanitary practices/cleaning/Facility Maintenance
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual speaker (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
