JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing budgets and financial plans and controlling expenditure
  • Oversees hotel operations under the direction of the General Manager
  • Ensures overall guest satisfaction to drive brand metrics
  • Ensures compliance with brand standards
  • Maintaining statistical and financial records
  • Setting and achieving sales and profit targets
  • Recruiting, training, and monitoring staff
  • Planning work schedules for individuals and teams
  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • Dealing with customer complaints and comments
  • Addressing problems and troubleshooting
  • Ensuring events and conferences run smoothly
  • Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings
  • Dealing with contractors and suppliers
  • Ensuring security is effective
  • Carrying out inspections of property and services
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
  • Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 2 years' experience as an Assistant General Manager or Hotel Manager in a Full Service environment strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or Business, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years Forbes and/or AAA Four Diamond experience required.
  • At least 5 years management experience in a Full Service or Resort environment as Division Head in either Rooms or F&B, preferably both, including successful oversight of a large staff and focus on exceptional guest service required.
  • Previous experience with Marriott/Hilton branded hotels is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in executing renovation and/or conversion critical paths is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience executing against operating budgets as Division Head with established history of meeting or exceeding financial objectives.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Financial savvy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
