The Server will ensure a pleasant dining experience for customers by taking food orders and serving Food and Beverages to dine-in patrons seated in their section at the restaurant.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure diners are comfortable and have a pleasant dining experience.
- Record Food and drink orders accurately from customers.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure prompt and correct delivery of orders.
- Memorize the menu and provide recommendations for appetizers, meals, and drinks.
- Assist diners in making informed choices based on their preferences.
- Address customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist with tidying tables, clearing leftovers, and maintaining a neat dining area.
- Set tables and rearrange the dining area for larger groups or special events.
- Assist with cleaning cooking utensils and the kitchen area after closing, adhering to state regulations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
- Accuracy in taking orders and delivering them correctly.
- Good memory to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent patrons.
- Ability to collaborate with kitchen and bar staff seamlessly.
- Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.
Education and Experience:
- Must successfully complete training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
