Job Description
The Hotel Director of Catering is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the catering department in a hotel. This includes managing the catering team, developing and implementing catering strategies, and ensuring that all events are executed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement catering strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Manage the catering team, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Ensure that all events are executed to the highest standards, including food quality, service, and presentation.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to promote catering services and increase business.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors.
- Manage catering budgets and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in catering management
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Knowledge of food and beverage industry trends and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and catering software
