Job Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and enthusiastically immediately as they enter the restaurant.
- Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
- Manage party sizes, reservations, and wait lists to handle guest needs, accurately quote wait times, and maintain the flow of the restaurant.
- Answer the telephone in a pleasant manner and respond appropriately to all inquiries.
- Assist with handling takeout orders. Ensure timeliness, accuracy, organization, and payment.
- Thank guests for visiting as they depart the restaurant and inquire about their experience.
- Properly communicate guest complaints with a sense of urgency, poise, and good judgment to our Management Team.
- Complete any assigned opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for success. Stock, clean, and organize the guest service stand.
- 2+ years of experience as a Host at upscale restaurants
- A welcoming personality and a true passion for hosting
- Integrity and the ability to make decisions on your feet
- The ability to speak clearly and articulately on the telephone, providing information and answering questions for callers, while focusing on etiquette and conveying a sense of calm
- Experience with reservation systems such as OpenTable
- Professional, polished, and personable demeanor
