Overview:
Host/Hostesses are responsible for a variety of specialized duties related to the receipt, interpretation, and follow-through of patient diet orders. Responsible for the delivery and collection of trays to and from patients. Ensures that nutrition care diet orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections. Acts as a liaison between the patient, the Dining Service Department, and Nursing Services. Communicates all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Dining Services Department. Assists the clinical staff in ensuring all patient basic nutrition care needs are met.
Responsibilities:
Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients and co-works. Is responsive to customer needs. -
Delivers patient trays during meal service using WEST

Visits patients to introduce the service of the Dining Service Department. May obtain food preferences/dislikes from patient and /or family members

Ensure timeliness of meal delivery -
Communicates well with dietitian staff -
Receives greater or equal to 90% on Host/Hostess monthly evaluations

Participates in performance improvement program to enhance the quality of services.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Required
1 year customer service, Required
