Donor Alliance is hiring a Hospital Development Manager in Denver! The Hospital Development Manager assumes all duties and responsibilities outlined for a Donation Consultant. Motivates and fosters collaborative efforts in the Hospital Development Department to meet Donor Alliance’s goals and objectives. Assists the Director of Hospital Development with daily operations and achieving departmental strategic goals.
Provides support to the Hospital Development (HD) training program both in field and classroom when necessary. Responsible for overseeing initiatives essential to an effective marketing effort within the acute care hospital market to include: special projects, staff training and development, information systems for tracking and reporting HD activity and hospital market performance. Supports the Director of Hospital Development to identify, develop, and implement effective teaching tools and other resources for staff use in the hospital setting.
Day-To-Day
Systems Management Role
- Hospital Development training for Donation Consultants with emphasis on field coaching and classroom training where needed
- Program development, implementation, and management of special projects to advance HD performance and improve organizational donation outcomes
- Collaborate with the Director of Hospital Development to review and redefine as necessary, educational messages and position statements for front-line staff communications with healthcare professionals to promote optimal donation practices
- Collaborates with the Medical Record Review Coordinator to ensure information sharing of medical record review results with Hospital Development staff and hospitals throughout the donation service area.
- Works in collaboration with the organ, tissue and quality departments to ensure a unified approach to hospital challenges.
- Maintains hospital portfolios; monthly reports, plans, development plans
- With the Director of Hospital Development, designs and implements effective tracking systems for managing, analyzing, and reporting HD activity and donation outcomes
- Annually reviews HD standards of practice
- Assists Donation Consultants in the areas of abstracts and research
- Participates in the interviewing and hiring process for Donation Consultants and In-House Coordinators
- Maintains relationships and communications with all departments that influence donation practices and outcomes
- Accountable for programs and staff development to assure a sustained donor referral base and effective standards of practice
- Accountable for allocation of departmental resources to maintain daily operations
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly manages operations and performances of Donation Consultants and In- House Coordinators
General Requirements
- Attends and participates in coordinator conference calls and meetings
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Strong word processing, database and presentation software skills
- Ability to work independently and in group situations
- Effective leadership skills demonstrated in clinical, educational and administrative contexts
- Ability to practice a high degree of autonomy in a self-directed manner, demonstrating innovation and creativity in problem solving, sound critical analysis and judgment
- May perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Qualifications
- Degree in marketing, sales, nursing, behavioral science, public relations, education or equivalent work experience required.
- Experience in healthcare preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and success in program development necessary.
- Ability to utilize interpersonal communication skills to motivate individuals into actions.
- Demonstrated strong public speaking abilities, written, & interpersonal skills.
- Previous management and supervisory experience required.
- Proficiency in the use of computer equipment and software, including but not limited to, Windows environment (Word, Excel, Outlook – Intermediate to Advanced skills) required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
Compensation:
- $96,349-$108,392 annually, exempt (not eligible for overtime)
Additional Compensation:
- Variable Pay Bonus Plan, per plan document
