(Contingent upon available funding): 55,000.00 - 65,000.00, Commensurate with education and experience Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm Faculty Appt Period: 9 Months Job Summary: The new hire will have assignments in teaching, advising, and administration. The teaching load is two courses (3-hour honors seminars) per semester, with flexibility to design courses within their areas of specialization. The new hire will also carry an advising load within the Honors College, assisting students with enrollment and mentoring them on their progress towards the honors awards and degree. The new hire will also be assigned various administrative responsibilities, particularly related to assisting with implementing and directing K-12 STEM outreach programming, such as the Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair (OSSEF), the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS), and Science Olympiad. This is a nine-month, 3-year renewable position, with the possibility of additional summer employment to assist with New Student Orientation and Enrollment. Ph.D./Ed.D A record of teaching excellence. Preferred Qualifications Experience with honors colleges or programs. Experience with K-12 STEM programming. A record of student advising or mentoring.
