Job Overview
This position is primarily responsible for comprehensive set-up and instruction of home medical equipment with the focus on the department's mission and demonstrating the departmental values. This position is responsible for loading, delivering, instructing, maintenance and follow-up for Deaconess Home Medical Equipment & Infusion or its subsidiaries (hereafter HME). This position is also responsible for delivering infusion products when necessary.
- Insures operational continuity by cross-training individuals in other jobs and temporary redistribution of workloads.
- Provides cost analysis studies for budgetary requirements and supports Material Management recommendations.
- Coordinates the activities and personnel of the Material Handling Section of Material Management. Including overlooking the receiving of supplies into the warehouse, ensuring how supplies are organized for delivery by the floor captains, and maintain inventories accuracy.
- Monitoring Par Ex software and maintaining Par Ex hardware.
- Monitor section training for standards required by HFAP and maintaining the Departmental Safety Plan.
- Complies with Standards of Employee Conduct as noted in Policy and Procedure No. 45-19.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma required. Computer literacy necessary.
- Previous driving experience operating commercial truck and/or van preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current driver’s license and car insurance required.
- Must be able to demonstrate a clean driving record documented on a Motor Vehicle Report.
- Availability by cell phone is a condition of the job.
Additional Information
- High school diploma required.
- Computer and tablet literacy necessary.
- Previous experience operating a commercial truck and/or van preferred.
- Commercial Drivers, Class C w/Hazmat endorsement required or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
- This position is primarily responsible maintaining of oxygen equipment with customers homes and maintaining oxygen equipment & supplies in our skilled nursing facilities.
- Delivery, set-up and instruction of medical equipment in the home will be a secondary responsibility.
- Some heavy lifting is required.
- Must be able to navigate computer/tablet.
- This position also has some on-call responsibilities for evenings and weekends.
- This is a full time position working 8:00-4:30, Mon-Fri
