Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to patients in their homes, assisting with activities of daily living
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met
- Help patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Home Health Aide or Personal Care Assistant
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices
- Ability to lift and move patients safely and comfortably
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
