Job Summary:
The Home Depot.com Administrator will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the shipment of building material, ensuring that products are delivered on time and in accordance with customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the shipment of building material from the warehouse to customers' locations.
- Ensure that all shipments are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs documentation.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to customers as needed.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, including missing or damaged items.
- Work closely with other departments, including logistics, sales, and customer service, to coordinate shipping activities.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking information and delivery receipts.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline shipping operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines governing the shipment of goods.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal teams, such as sales support, marketing, and warehouse associates, to facilitate seamless order processing, delivery, and promotional activities.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of shipping software and systems preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Familiarity with international shipping processes and regulations a plus.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or experience in building material Industry preferred not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 - 60 pounds at times.
