Essential Functions:
- Maintaining and providing excellent customer service at all times
- Processing all intakes including troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving problems as they arise.
- Confirming eligibility of insurance via portal/verification checks.
- Completing written responses to patients and customers regarding account resolution and complaint recovery.
- Setting up new /returning patient cases in EMR which includes obtaining new demographic information and all existing insurance information.
- Ensuring that all patients’ benefits are verified in a timely manner.
- Learning different payer regulations/requirements and communicates effectively with patients regarding their Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
- Ensuring scripts are received, patient intakes are processed, and timely communication occurs with patients and family members about therapy benefits and PT visits
- Completing billing invoicing and faxing as needed
- Planning and executing weekly meetings with the Homecare Management Team.
- Collecting copays and payments due for services provided
- A minimum of one (1) year related health care experience preferred
- Ability to utilize various computer systems including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and EMR
- Must be organized and have the ability to multitask
- Passionate about customer service and patient satisfaction
- Must be courteous, empathetic and have professional manner
- Demonstrated organizational skills, timeliness is managing tasks and ability to analyze and forecast team needs based on volume trends identified.
