The HIM Medical Records Clerk role is to respond to telephone and walk-in request within the hospital as well as physicians’ offices, insurance companies, other hospital for record requests. The Clerk will collect all discharged patient charts form the patient care areas on a daily basis and scan loose documents are already not in the EMR. Also, the Clerk will pull records for various audits and committee requests. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Must have prior Medical Record experience. The position is responsible to the Manager of Revenue Cycle.
