Alabama Clinical Schools has been a behavioral healthcare provider in the Birmingham area for over 20 years. Our treatment services range from intensive residential treatment for males ages 9-18 to therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages. Our RISE and Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care programs for boys are the only programs of their kind in the State of Alabama. Our mission is simple: to enrich lives of at-risk youth and their families by delivering quality behavioral and educational services while fostering a safe transition to the community.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, Associates preferred.
- Registered Health Information (RHIT) certification preferred
- Detailed and organized with strong documentation skills
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Skills:- Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record or equivalent software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Abilities:- Ability to analyze, coordinate, observe and make good decisions.
- Ability to be detailed and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
Equipment Operated:- Computer, scanner, printer, phone, physical files.
- Successfully pass background screen (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check) and drug testing

Experience:
- 1 year Experience performing utilization review in a pyschiatric setting preferred
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
