- Valid Washington State Certificate with appropriate endorsement.
Qualifications
- Successful teaching/student teaching experience in high school math.
- Experience and/or training working with diverse learning capabilities ranging from special education through gifted, including at-risk students and English Language Learners.
- Ability to successfully prepare students for the Smarter Balanced Assessment.
- Ability to work with other teachers as part of a professional learning community.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with parents/guardians about student progress.
- Understanding of the 5 Dimensions of Teaching and Learning.
- Understanding of Common Core State Standards
- Ability to make data based decisions.
- Knowledge of Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol.
- Preference will be given to candidates with team environment experience.
- Demonstrated interest, commitment, and ability to work positively with students at the high school level.
- Demonstrated positive interactions with students at the high school level.
- Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to decision-making in collaboration with administrators and other staff members.
- Ability to work with and manage paraprofessionals.
- Has a high school or secondary math endorsement.
- Willingness to be trained in district initiatives.
- Willingness to take on or experience with extracurricular activities (coaching, tutoring, class advisory).
- Able to teach all levels of High School Math.
Terms of Employment
- Starting Date: 2023-2024 School Year
- Salary: $50,840-$105,726 Based on education and experience, 23-24 REA Salary Schedule. Full Benefits are administered through SEBB, DRS-WAshington, 403B, Tuition Reimbursement
