Description:
TEKsystems is partnering with a local client in the search for a Help Desk Technician. This position will sit 100% onsite in Hartland, Wisconsin providing tier 1 technical support for hardware and software issues of internal users.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support and guidance to resolve users’ computer hardware and software problems.
- Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
- Applies knowledge of computer software and hardware to assist users in resolving problems.
- Installs or assists with the installation and set-up of new hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Maintains logs of support services provided in the ticketing system or other appropriate database.
- Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to supervisor or technical staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience troubleshooting application software in a customer service environment
- Proficient with Google and Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to explain technical problems to nontechnical employees.
Other Details:
This is a full-time position covering core, 1st shift business hours. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Hartland, WI.
