Steel Encounters is seeking a Help Desk Technician Iwho is an experienced and talented, ready to embark on a successful career with our IT team at our Corporate Headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. The position is in an office environment, working from home is not an option. Provide excellent customer service for approximately 280 employees on a variety of hardware and software issues. Be a major contributor to the premier commercial specialty subcontractor who provides steel joist, metal deck products, and architectural cladding systems to general contractors and building owners.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software (Microsoft Windows and Office, desktops, laptops, iPads, iPhones, video conferencing equipment, printers, IP phones, etc.)
Receive, process, and prioritize incoming user requests via email, phone or in-person
Document requests, solutions, and procedures using Help Desk database
Follow issues through to completion and train end user on solutions as applicable
Follow escalation procedures when needed in order to ensure successful resolution to issues
Other responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 Year of experience
Must be extremely self-motivated and demonstrate excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
Must follow current policies, procedures, and solutions while having the ability to collaborate on continuous improvement
WAGES & BENEFITS:
Compensation $18.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience and education
