PJ Networks is a growing IT managed services provider seeking a self-motivated and dedicated individual to join our expanding Remote Monitoring and Help Desk Support team. This role will require a broad array of technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to support client networks. This position will be responsible for monitoring servers, workstations, and other network hardware spread across multiple client sites and will require the ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues as they come up. The qualified individual will be able to work quickly and effectively to resolve problems while documenting the assistance provided within the PJ Networks' ticketing system. The position requires individuals to work both independently and as part of the Help Desk team.
While this job is primarily a remote support position, applicants must be Virginia residents and able to attend occasional in-person Charlottesville-based activities and meetings.

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Utilize existing remote management tools to monitor hardware and software
  • Remotely manage, support, and update Servers, Hypervisors, Workstations, Network Equipment and related procedures, documentation, and security policies
  • Provide technical assistance over the phone for clients with computer hardware or software problems and escalate issues when necessary
  • Recommend hardware and software improvements
  • Ticket and track customer issues from initial contact to resolution
  • PowerShell Scripting Is a Plus
What this job entails (approximately):
·         40% Email and phone support
·         40% Project work
·         20% Monitoring our clients’ systems and performing necessary maintenance
Required Experience:
  • MSP EXPERIENCE IS A BIG PLUS!
  • 2-5 years work experience in an IT role
  • Certifications are a plus, especially Microsoft and CompTIA
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows Server 2012 – 2022 and Windows 10/11
  • Experience with Microsoft/Office 365 and related systems including Azure, Entra, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, etc. 
  • Familiarity with networking equipment including firewalls, switches, routers, APs, etc.
  • Must have the ability to quickly pick up on new systems and technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
A positive attitude, good communication skills and a team mentality are absolutely required. Candidates should be willing to occasionally work after hours or weekends, as necessary.
