Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

Family owned and operated heavy highway construction firm seeking experienced excavator, loader, and dozer operator.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Excavate for structures, utilities, drainage

Place material to grade (subbase, topsoil, etc.)

· Place shoring and trench boxes

· Operate track/rubber-tired machines with bucket, hammer, etc.

· Perform daily inspection on equipment

· Assist crew when needed/labor at times

REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum 5 years equipment experience in all facets of operation to include excavator, loader, dozer, mini, etc.

· Operate Heavy Equipment productively and safely in all types of weather and ground conditions

· Knowledge of drainage work and utilities

· Able to work independently/self-motivated

· Dependable & punctual

· Good communication skills

· Team player

· Must pass drug and alcohol test

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATES:

· Valid Drivers License (CDL a Plus)

· OSHA-10 Certificate

· Hoisting Equipment Operator License

· P-6 or P-7 Plumbing a Plus

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

· 5 years
