Heavy Equipment Operator (7 Years Experience Required)

Responsibilities:

• Proficiently operate any or all of our core Heavy Equipment, including Bulldozers, Payloaders, Excavators, Articulated Trucks, and Rock Crushing Equipment
• Comply with the Operations and Maintenance guidelines for all Heavy Equipment
• Perform a daily Heavy Equipment walk-around inspection and preventive maintenance responsibilities
• Perform job responsibilities safely in a busy, sometimes stressful environment
• Operate equipment productively, year-round in all types of local weather and ground conditions
• Perform tasks that have to do with site development/Heavy Equipment operations as assigned or directed by the Supervisor or General Manager

Requirements:

• 7+ years experience running Heavy Equipment, 80% to 100% of the time during your employment in a site development capacity
• Capable of operating Heavy Equipment in a safe and efficient way according to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures of the company
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to communicate, follow directions and have own transportation
• Must be able to perform daily safety and maintenance checks to equipment. Participate in routine maintenance, keep equipment clean and ensure that it is safely and securely stored
• Willingness to submit to and ability to pass, a comprehensive Background Check and Drug Screen; ability to provide documentation that you are a citizen of the US or otherwise have clearance to work in the US and the state of Connecticut
