Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Looking for experienced mechanics to do in-shop and roadside excavator, tractor, and trailer repairs. Job responsibilities will include mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment in-shop and mobile. Keeping a clean and organized work environment. Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties. Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems. Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision. Replace defective components as instructed. Mechanics will work unsupervised on most tasks. Perform facility maintenance duties. Interact with drivers and Heavy Equipment operators to properly determine the nature of complaints. Once assigned a task, complete work in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, etc.). • Pay based on experience. Must have clean MVR and pass a background check.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Requirements:
Must have 2+ years of experience working on Heavy Equipment CAT, John Deere, Volvo, etc.), diesel engines (Mack, Peterbilt), & small tools
Strong hydraulic troubleshooting abilities
Job Type: Full-time Salary: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
