Position Reports To:Department Supervisor
Summary Description:Clean/finish/Heat Treat aluminum cast surfaces to meet customer part specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Lead a small team to ensure productivity goals are met within guidelines
- Operate general hand tools such as hammers, files, punches, etc., for the purpose of cleaning parts; may include hoist operation, some machining, cutting, grinding, etc.
- Operate manual machines and power hand tools such as drill press, saws, grinders, drills, sanders, die grinders, etc.
- Perform general housekeeping to keep area clean and clear of debris
- Perform visual and hands-on part inspection
- Complete general paperwork for routing, scheduling, time reporting and quality
- Operate mobile equipment and cranes
- Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned
Skills or Experience Required:
Must have High School diploma or GED. Forklift experience and equivalent job experience are a plus. Must have basic math skills; must be able to read/write English for use in general and detailed paperwork.
