If so, we invite you to join our Healthy Families Jefferson/Lewis team at the North Country Prenatal/Perinatal Council, Inc. (NCPPC).
About Us:
HFJL is an evidence-based, accredited parent support and early intervention program that focuses on strenthening families, promoting positive parent-child bonding, and fostering child health and development. We follow the Healthy Families America (HFA) Best Practice Standards as part of the Healthy Families New York system.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outreach and screenings to identify eligible caregivers.
- Establish trusting relationships through in-home visits.
- Provide long-term support using a family-centered, strength-based approach.
- Engage in evidence-based activities to enhance parent-child interaction.
- Collaborate with community agencies and participate in outreach events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in home visiting and prevention services focused on the prenatal to age 5 population.
- Understanding of reflective practice, motivational techniques, and infant and child development.
- Familiarity with diverse communities and cultural sensitivity.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree or higher in human services or a related field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in using technology (computer, smartphone, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe PDF).
- Valid driver's license, reliable personal car, and active auto insurance policy.
- Ability to pass criminal and child abuse/neglect background checks.
