THE OPPORTUNITY:
Our Healthcare Data Analyst position involves programming, data mining and analysis of Healthcare Data with an emphasis on medical economics, clinical and financial reporting.
The analyst will contribute to population health analyses, clinical workflows, dashboard development, product development, medical cost containment analyses, and machine-learning projects.
WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:
- Produce, analyze, and maintain reports to measure, track, and manage specific medical cost, utilization, and quality improvement initiatives
- Assist with the delivery of standardized contracted reports
- Complete a variety of clinical and financial client ad hoc analyses in an efficient and timely manner
- Present analytic findings to multiple audiences
- Support auditing and verification of data sources
- Assist in designing, programming, testing, and standardizing processes and reports
- Identify data issues and work to create solutions
- Implement analytic directives from senior staff
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, economics, statistics, public health, or a comparable program with a quantitative emphasis. Master’s degree preferred.
- Competency in data manipulation, analysis, and report presentation
- Working knowledge of Healthcare Data including medical claims, pharmacy claims, and eligibility
- Work or education experience with a focus on population or public health
- 2 + years professional or graduate level experience using SAS
- Must be analytical, detail oriented, and a problem solver
- Strong desire to expand technical and industry skill sets
- Excellent Excel and database skills
- Team player both within and across teams
