Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Healthcare Data Analyst to support our healthcare operations by analyzing complex datasets and providing actionable insights. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming raw Healthcare Data into meaningful information that informs strategic decision-making and improves patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Optimizing data by collecting, organizing, and analyzing large datasets.
- Identifying trends, patterns, and correlations in Healthcare Data to support clinical, operational, and financial initiatives. Working with subject matter experts to translate findings and extract meaningful patterns and insights.
- Developing and maintaining databases and data systems necessary for projects and department functions.
- Developing and maintaining data models, algorithms, and statistical analyses to support predictive modeling and forecasting.
- Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
- Creating dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders and facilitate decision-making processes.
- Conducting ad hoc analyses and research projects to address specific healthcare-related questions or challenges.
- Developing and implementing data analysis methodologies and best practices.
- Monitoring and auditing data quality to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains through data analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and data security standards (e.g., HIPAA).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
- 3-5 years proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role in the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, such as SPSS, SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and handle various assignments as needed.Knowledge of healthcare quality measures, population health management, and value-based care models is a plus.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques is desirable but not required.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools and techniques.
