Summary

This position will assist in the Division's financially distressed provider assistance programs including the Vital Access Provider (VAP) program, the Vital Access Provider Assurance Program (VAPAP), and payments made through CMS approved Directed Payment Templates (DPT).  The preferred candidate will be a technical resource who can leverage databases and help develop and maintain dashboards to extract additional insights that come from collecting new provider data.

       Compiling and organizing financial data. 

       Analyzing data to assist in delivering optimal financial management and decision making. 

       Using financial data to achieve administrative needs and goals. 

       Understanding data storage and data sharing methods. 

       Investigating data to find patterns and trends. 

       Understanding healthcare business operations. 

       Utilizing different data sources for analyses. 

       Converting data into usable information that is easy to understand. 

       Developing reports and presentations. 

       Communicating analytic insights to management. 

       Analyze our company's financial records and policies 

       Maintain data systems to track OHIP invoices and disbursements, 

       Perform data collection from internal data systems and the Statewide Financial System

       Perform data cleansing, transformation, aggregation, and summarization and output  datasets for analysis, 

       Prepare queries/reports for analyze accounting and financial results of the company. 

       Provide audit support to internal and external auditors, as needed. 

       Assemble and summarize data to structure reports on financial status and risks.

Basic Qualifications

       2 years of SAS, SQL, Tableau, Python, R or equivalent analytical/programming software    experience

Desired Characteristics

       Bachelor's degree business or computer science

       2 years of health care or analytics experience

       SME in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

       Advanced understanding of variance analysis.

       SAS, SQL, Tableau, Python, R or equivalent analytical/programming software experience

       Must be a quick learner.
