Summary:
Pay Range: $22-$26/hr

Main responsibilities:
- Experience and/or understanding of HS concepts, risk management principals, and HS management systems.
- Knowledge of Fire Safety Systems
- Knowledge and understanding of applied Ergonomics
- Knowledge and understanding of conducting Incident Investigations.
- Development of H&S procedures or training
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual HS reporting processes.
- Assist with the development of Job Hazard Analysis
- Assist with building inspections
- Supports Joint Health & Safety Committee activities & actions
- Perform general safety related duties as required.
- May be required to participate in HS training.
- Ability to work variable shifts periodically
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office programs including: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint; and the ability to learn other applications quickly.
- Demonstrate courageous leadership by promoting a safe work environment, ensuring everyone goes home safe and healthy every day.
- Motivated self-starter disciplined to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with teams with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
This role will involve a heavy focus on developing documentation supporting HS Management Systems (ie. Systems: Job Hazard Analysis, and Safe Work Practices etc.)
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be enrolled in an Occupational Health and Safety certificate/diploma/degree or an equivalent program focused on health and safety
