The primary functions of this position are to provide support for a variety functional areas within the Health Information Department including chart analysis, responding to requests for information, imaging/scanning support and answering incoming phone calls to Health Information. This position is a multifunctional position requiring cross training and expertise into all Health Information workflows in order to provide flexible and efficient services by the department. This an on-site position.
Requirements:
High school diploma with experience in the healthcare, information technology or business field, preferably with medical records experience. Preferably a two-year Associate Degree in Health Information and Medical Terminology. Prior experience with automated health records or competency in using computers and computer applications is highly desirable. Applicant should have strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills and communication skills. Applicant must be professional, value accuracy and be very thorough.
