Duties
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed
- Support individuals in developing independent living skills
- Plan and participate in recreational activities and outings
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in providing direct care to individuals with disabilities or special needs. They will possess strong communication skills, be compassionate, patient, and have a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. This role requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Please note that this position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the individuals being supported.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 56 per week
