Position Details
Long Beach Day Nursery (LBDN) is adding to our team of early childhood full-time Head Teachers at our West Branch!
This position is responsible for the supervision, health, safety, and learning of the children in the classroom. You will work closely with parents to assist the positive growth of their children by instructing them in developmentally appropriate activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for child development. Because you will have direct contact with parents, it is important that you represent LBDN in a positive and professional light. This position will supervise the teachers, assistant teachers, teacher aides, substitute teachers, interns and volunteers in the classroom.

Qualifications:
- Hold a Child Development Teacher Permit (24 Child Development units and 16 General Education units)
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience with children 0-5 years old
- Associate Degree in ECE required
- Bachelor Degree in ECE preferred
- Experience with DRDPs, NAEYC Accreditation, and Title 5 regulations a plus
- Maintain a collaborative, team-player attitude
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent patience and enjoy creating a fun environment
