Description
To provide administrative support to the Head Start Central Plaza management team and center operations. To provide general support services to the daily operations at the Central Plaza worksite.
Summary of work activities, tasks and responsibilities
Abide by applicable agency rules and regulations.

Abide by, and be in compliance of: the Federal Head Start/Early Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS).
Abide by, and be in compliance of: the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS) state licensing rules and regulations.
Abide by, and be in compliance of: the collaboration of the Ohio Department of Education Standards.
Protect and keep all child and family, (client), information confidential.
Participate in all mandated and/or appropriate training and meetings.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support services for the Central Plaza worksite including but not limited to general administrative clerical work.
Oversees the preparation of routine correspondence and reports for both internal and external use, and reviews and answers correspondence as assigned;
Is responsible for requisitioning and maintaining of inventory of office supplies;
Maintains records, files, correspondence and other documents;
Directs the preparation of records, such as notices, minutes and agendas for meetings;
Prepares and handles information of a confidential nature;
Arranges travel schedule and reservations;
Serves as a team member for front desk and helps ensure desk coverage;
Obtains information by telephone or personal contact and analyzes information to present to the Head Start Director's office;
Attends meetings, workshops and seminars as directed;
Ability to be punctual in reporting to work and in the completion of assigned duties.
Ability to communicate information and ideas verbally so others will understand.
Ability to interact with others in a way that inspires trust, confidence, and integrity.
Abides by applicable Agency rules and regulations;
Other duties as assigned.

Proof of credential and/or education (copy of certificate, official college transcripts, copy of diploma, etc.).
Valid driver's license.
Education required
High school diploma required.
Education preferred
Associate degree in a related field preferred.

At least one (1) year experience required.

Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone with or without hearing aids.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. at waist height within an office setting.
Ability to see and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids.
Ability to see, hear and speak with/without assistive devices sufficient to communicate effectively with others.
Ability to sit at a desk or workstation for extended periods of time.
