Description:
We are currently seeking a Head Sommelier to join the team at a distinguished Luxury Boutique Hotel in the Downtown Dallas. As the Head Sommelier, you will play a crucial role in curating our wine program and providing exceptional service to our guests across 5 F&B outlets.
Responsibilities:
- Assist guests with wine and champagne selection, considering their taste and budget when guiding them through the menu.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide information regarding our venues, menus, and pricing.
- Explain how our wine and champagne menu complements the items on our food and dessert menu.
- Ensure all wines are presented and served correctly, adhering to company standards for pouring techniques.
- Inform and explain alternative wine selections to guests should their choice be unavailable.
- Provide engaged, friendly, and attentive customer service to all guests.
- Perform all other duties as instructed by management.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Sommelier in an upscale, high-volume restaurant.
- CMS or WSET (level 3) certifications preferred, or equivalent from another accredited wine institution.
- Extensive knowledge of wine and wine service techniques.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude and adherence to appearance and uniform guidelines.
- A "guest-first" mindset and passion for providing exemplary guest service.
- Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
- Ability to take direction and communicate effectively.
