- My co-founder Tim & I have been running our non-profit for a few months now to help cancer patients with integrative healing resources and support, inspired by my work with my brother Christian, helping him reach remission naturally after being given a terminal osteosarcoma (bone cancer) diagnosis.
- One strategy used by many cancer patients that is also applicable to anyone looking to improve their well-being is grounding, also known as "earthing"
- We’ve launched our own line of grounding products under the NorthStar Grounding brand
- For every NorthStar sale, we have committed to donating an earthing pillowcase to a cancer patient. While certainly not a panacea, we know how much this helped us and know it to be the perfect complementary product to anyone going through cancer.

- In order to drive sales, we’re looking for help with Social Media - namely Instagram and Tiktok reels.
Social Media Needs
- We’re looking for one or several people who enjoy making Instagram and Tiktok reels to help ad hoc with the below for NorthStar
- While we plan to give our Social Media team complete autonomy to be creative and come up with some cool and engaging content, the rough idea for the nature of the reels can include any of the following elements:
- --- Intro to what grounding is
- --- The benefits or “study highlights” related to the science of grounding benefits
- --- References to celebrities and popular influencers who have recently endorsed grounding
- --- The fact that we rarely walk barefoot outside these days
- --- Reference to the importance of sleeping grounded, as it is the most important and longest period of the day (6-8 hours) for restoration
- --- Call to action to drive sales
- We plan to use these reels as our Social Media ads.
- As an example of an adjacent brand, we found the below Instagram Reel told a compelling story about the importance of protecting against radiation, referenced a popular celebrity, referenced the science, and ultimately drove attention to their products. Our posts could be very similar.

We are happy to assist in any part of the above creative process - the storytelling, the positioning, and brainstorming.
We’re hoping to grow this into a huge brand and make a difference in daily life for millions of people, both customers and cancer patients. We are looking for early partners to help us get off the ground and have the opportunity to grow with us from there. We’re open to discussing any compensation models for your time (paying per reel, per view results/sales, anything that would work on your end) and can continue to update these as we go along and are hopefully all having fun with it!
As a start, we’d love to throw in a pillowcase so you can experience the power of grounding for yourself too :)
