MDC Data Center is seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to play a pivotal role in executing our sales strategy, leading a talented team, and expanding our market presence in the data center, telecommunications, fiber, CDNs, and technology industries.
Your Mission:
Your mission is to drive revenue growth within existing clients, explore new market verticals, and develop and manage our sales team to consistently achieve targets.
What Awaits You:
- Sales Performance: Drive sales initiatives, actively engaging in selling alongside managing the sales team. Assess individual and team performance, track and analyze sales KPIs, and oversee the entire sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure
- Team Development: Inspire and guide the sales team to meet and exceed quotas, providing coaching, training, and feedback. Foster a collaborative and goal-oriented team culture.
- Industry Engagement and Evangelization: Attend industry events, host networking events, and collaborate with other departments to support overall company objectives while also fostering awareness of our branding and products.
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with upper management to align sales strategies with company goals, develop optimized market mixes, and increase revenue opportunities through strategic initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Increase revenue opportunities through strategic market expansion initiatives
- Prepare sales forecasts based on trends and data analysis to set realistic revenue goals
- Prepare budget and plan events participation in partnership with Marketing
- Develop a strategic roadmap to achieve department goals
- Provide full visibility into the sales pipeline and track progress
- Develop and motivate the sales team to meet or exceed quotas

- Guide and support the team in achieving sales targets
- Foster a collaborative and goal-oriented team culture
- Monitor and assess individual and team performance
- Regularly track and report on the team's progress to upper management
- Track and analyze sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Oversee the entire sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving sales performance
- Liaise with the Operations and Finance departments to ensure the smooth delivery of services
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships
- Address customer concerns and issues promptly to maintain a positive business reputation
- Handle key accounts or work closely with the team on high-priority clients
- Share market insights and customer feedback to improve overall business strategies
- Attend sales workshops, seminars, and conferences to build a strong network
- Collaborate with finance and management to ensure financial objectives are met
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product, customer support, and customer experience, to align efforts and support overall company objectives and development
Qualifications:
- Bilingual – English and Spanish required
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in B2B in the Data Center, telecommunication, fiber, CDNs, or technology industry
- A deep relationship with OTTs and hyperscale data centers is a plus
- Proven experience in sales management and achieving revenue targets
- Proficient in assessing product/market situations, analyzing data, and developing actionable sales strategies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making
- Preferable experience in HubSpot and mandatory experience in other CRM systems
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Proactive, self-motivated, and result-oriented
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
