The Head of Membership Product Marketing will be responsible for defining Uber's global membership marketing strategy to drive member growth, engagement, and retention through campaigns, experiments, and new feature launches. In late 2021 we launched Uber One, our global membership program that brings together the best of Uber and Uber Eats. In less than two years we've grown the program to more than 12M members in 17 countries with even bigger ambition.
This person should have a deep empathy for riders & eaters, the ability to deliver a vision and inspire internal & external partners, the mastery of global go-to-market strategy, and ability to drive business goals. You will work hand in hand with the cross-functional team including Product Managers, Research, Strategy and Planning, Operations, Design, CRM, Communications and Engineering.
What You'll Do
- Develop the global marketing strategy and plan for Uber One including both growth and retention. Serve as marketing representative on the Membership leadership team including being the connective tissue between product, marketing, business development, and business teams. Ability to identify winning tactics to boost member acquisition and engagement across owned and paid channels.
- Develop a deep understanding of our global membership priorities (business targets, P&L priorities, segmentation, priority markets) & have end to end ownership of our member marketing strategy.
- Build the member experience vision- encourage cross functional teams to put membership at Uber's Core and partner with product, design, creative, brand, and CRM to bring this to life across the Uber app.
- Orchestrate experimentation plans across key channels and products. Partner closely with data science and marketing teams to build out roadmaps and testing strategies to drive growth and engagement through new and existing surfaces in and out of the Uber app.
- Drive a research agenda that equips the product team with data-based customer insights to deliver the right products, experiences, and benefits that solve members' core needs.
- Lead effective go-to-market plans and growth & engagement strategies for global, regional, and partnership launches.
- Lead a team helping to develop and grow a talented group of PMMs.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years marketing experience delivering highly successful marketing and engagement strategies.
- Expert marketer: You have a proven track record of building and executing campaigns that drive material business impact.
- The willingness and know-how to deeply understand your market, customers and competition.
- The ability to identify and leverage insights to inform positioning, messaging, and targeting for marketing strategies and product development.
- Scary-good at articulating the essence of products and the value they create. You can develop a strong messaging hierarchy and effective content strategy plan.
- Finger-tippinesses with data: You just go get the data you need with no muss/fuss and can whip it into an insightful story. You know how to leverage data to make decisions and inform your strategies.
- Master storyteller: You can craft a compelling narrative across different channels - you know how to match the message to the medium.
- An "owner" personality: You're biased toward action, a great collaborator and master disambiguator/simplifier. You never stop pushing towards clarity and delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with marketing strategy and campaign development within the membership and/or loyalty space.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$193,000 per year - USD$214,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$193,000 per year - USD$214,500 per year.
