Enterprise cybersecurity is broken. Current annual cybersecurity spending is roughly $150B, with most enterprises spending heavily to deploy, manage, and configure 100s of different tools for marginal security benefit. At Zip, our goal is to build software that makes enterprise cybersecurity reasonable - to reduce bloat by bundling and configuring opinionated security tooling, synchronizing everything from device management to application security under one central pane of glass.
Multiple companies with security offerings from Google to Jamf are now releasing APIs that allow automated management, and with new government efforts to publish data on the global security risk landscape, there's a unique opportunity to be the first in the market to properly integrate and build a full-stack, opinionated, enterprise security company. The Role
As our founding marketing hire, you'll be the visionary who crafts and executes our marketing strategy, defines our brand identity, and drives customer engagement. You will be broadly responsible for strategy and execution. You could be the right fit for this role if going zero to one and leading and scaling the team to support your vision excites you.
You'll thrive in this role if you:

Requirements
Overall, we're looking for individuals with high ownership, autonomy, and willingness to learn.
Preferred requirements are flexible but are loosely
  • Track record building a marketing program from the ground up
  • 2+ years working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Deep experience in at least one of
    • Digital Marketing
    • Content Marketing
    • Product Marketing
  • Define key metrics to track for determining campaign success
  • Desire to learn new things
Nice to haves
  • An interest in security
  • Experience in security or related disciplines
  • Willingness to spend some time in the field with our customers as needed
