Job Responsibilities:

  • People Leadership: As the ABL Operations leader you will be responsible for the recruiting, staffing and development of a highly visible, client facing global operations team. Located primarily in Chicago, Charlotte, London & Bengaluru, India, the ability to lead across boundaries and realize the benefits of a globally diverse workforce is paramount. Promote a culture that fosters continuous improvement, encourages new ideas & empowers the team to execute on them.
  • Vision & Strategy: The ABL operation is on a multi-year transformation journey. Drive the vision where the adoption of technological advancements becomes a core competency; and the leadership team owns a strategic roadmap that joins people skills, process excellence & world class tools to deliver the best client & employee experience in the industry.
  • Partnerships: To be successful, establishing key relationships with both internal and external partners is critical. This leader plays an integral role in executing processes supporting credit & risk policies, delivering requirements and testing for technology programs and input to external vendors supporting the market with key systems and support services. Be a global ambassador for the ABL business across the firm, clients and vendors partners. Engaged connectivity with other WLS verticals and Centers of Excellence, and have a strong partnership with the WLS Product, Innovation and Change Management (PICM) team.
  • Portfolio: Provide sound guidance, judgement and leadership to grow & protect a $50B+ multicurrency portfolio that includes, bilateral loans, loans with J.P. Morgan as Agent & J.P. Morgan as participant. Accountable for the team tasked with delivering the full suite of lending services from credit approval to maturity including: Deal Closing Support, Setup & Funding, Collateral Management & Monitoring, Loan Servicing & Payoff.
  • Financial & Controls: Ensure the appropriate process controls are utilized and executed as designed to protect the portfolio and ensure our clients and the firm are satisfying legal, regulatory & reputational expectations. Advocate for and manage the budget & allocations associated to the ABL team to ensure service levels, capacity and expenses are in alignment with current capabilities and commercial expectations.

Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
  • BA/BS degree required
  • 15+ years financial services experience at a top tier financial institution
  • Significant experience with complex lending products / Asset Based Lending with ability to understand terms and structures typical within Asset Based Lending credit agreements
  • Prior people leadership of 50+, including experience developing high-performing global teams through continuous training and dynamic coaching
  • Ability to motivate & inspire organizations to adopt a vision and deliver the roadmap to make it reality and to build relationships and influence C-Suite business leaders, colleagues and functional partners
  • Results driven, demonstrated success running, transforming & building new business operations. Delivering on SLA's while maintaining employee & client satisfaction objectives.
  • Current and practical knowledge of wholesale lending businesses and the regulations that impact lending
