***Position Overview:
Join our team at One Nine Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy as an Athletic Trainer overseeing the sports medicine operations for San Diego Surf ECRL/ECNL teams and in-clinic sport performance training across various sports. As a key member, you’ll be responsible for injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation, acting as a triage specialist to determine optimal athlete care.
***Responsibilities:
• Manage health care for Surf players, including first aid, injury evaluation, modalities application, and rehabilitation.
• Maintain updated player health and participation records.
• Order, inventory, and manage clinical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with Performance and Physical Therapy departments for comprehensive athlete support.
• Assist with physical therapy patients.
• Contribute to planning, delivering, and evaluating physical development sessions.
• Develop and implement protocols for return to play, strength and conditioning, warm-up, and data monitoring/GPS.
• Monitor and assess athletes, managing data collection, analysis, and feedback to coaches, parents, and players.
• Conduct on-field speed, agility, and power training.
***Qualifications:
• Certified Athletic Trainer
• Good standing with NATABOC, and NATA (or CATA) membership
• Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCS) (preferred)
• Current professional CPR certification
• Personal professional liability insurance
• Experience working with young athletes
• Medical soccer experience and playing experience (preferred)
• Bilingual/Spanish speaker (preferred)
