Gulfstream Completions R&D Advanced Cabin team is seeking a highly skilled, nimble, and creative Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Hardware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and components to support our cutting-edge projects.
Responsibilities:
- Discover and evaluate new/novel technologies for practical application within the aircraft environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement electrical systems and solutions.
- Conduct research and analysis to ensure compliance with aviation standards and safety regulations.
- Create functional prototypes for evaluation and analysis
- Develop and execute test procedures for electrical systems and components to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Generate technical documentation, including schematics, manuals, and reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical system design, testing, and problem solving.
- Proficiency in using relevant software tools and programming languages.
- Strong understanding of electrical standards, safety practices, and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to mentor junior engineering staff
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a specialized area of expertise.
- Knowledge of CAD software and simulation tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members.
- Previous transportation experience
- Experience in RF and wireless communications

- Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred.
- The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
