Metro Aviation is seeking a Hangar Manager (PC12/B407) in Show Low, Arizona for the Guardian Air Transport program.

JOB OBJECTIVE

The Hangar Manager is a supervisory responsibility that holds accountability for the program maintenance facilities, maintenance activity, and assigned Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Maintains a close liaison with the Program Lead AMT to provide current status of aircraft maintenance events in progress and forecasts downtime
• Manage all inspection and maintenance events occurring within the program maintenance facility
• Ensure proper sequencing of all aircraft maintenance activity and inspection events
• Recognize strengths and weaknesses of the hangar maintenance staff, make adaptations, and continually develop each individual through hands-on, on-the-job training
• Assist with aircraft technical support, maintenance planning of daily tasks, short and long-term planning of all hangar level maintenance activity within the assigned program
• Ensure company aircraft are maintained in accordance with the Airworthiness Standards prescribed by applicable Regulations, Airworthiness Directives and Metro Aviation's policies and procedures
• Responsible for logging, tracking and keeping current inspection status with daily close of business reports on the company Intranet Portal
• Ensure all necessary work order documents are completed, accurate and maintained in accordance with Metro Aviation policy and procedure
• Promote safety and compliance within company standards and OSHA requirements
• Engage, promote, and train professional development of all assigned Hangar Based AMTs
• Performs other duties as assigned

SUPERVISED POSITIONS

• Hangar Based AMT's.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
• Thorough working knowledge of all current FAA regulations
• Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
• Inspection Authorization and/or FAR Part 135 experience a plus
• Must possess a minimum of five (5) years experience on turbine powered rotorcraft or airplanes

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, squatting for extended periods of time.
• Climbing heights on various equipment.
• Lifting up to 50 or more pounds.
• Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (High Visibility clothing, Ear protection, safety glasses) when required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Indoor/Outdoor environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible.
• Moderate to loud noise level.
• Driving company vehicle, personal vehicle for company use or other equipment.

WORK STATUS, SCHEDULE, & TRAVEL

• Full-time
• Monday-Friday, 40+ hours per week
• Schedules vary by program and workload
• Workover necessary depending on workload
