Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 annually depending upon experience

In addition to the duties outlined in this position summary above, the following duties are the responsibility and subject to over-site by the Hand Therapist.
Developing treatment plans that utilize specific exercises or equipment to improve strength, range of motion, and function of the hands and wrists.
Provide specified occupational therapy therapeutic procedures upon referral of patient from appropriate healthcare providers.
Assisting clients with adapting to life changes caused by injuries or disease by teaching them new skills or ways of performing tasks.
Document all assessments, plans, procedures, and pertinent, interactions regarding the patient's treatment in occupational therapy.
Provide occupational therapy consultations to other health professionals.
Providing physical therapy services such as massage, heat treatment, and ultrasound therapy.
Performing hand therapy treatments such as massages and other forms of soft tissue manipulation.
Keep all patient interactions confidential with the informed consent of the patient.
Observing patients performing tasks such as writing or feeding themselves to assess their progress.

Education and Experience
Experience: Minimum one-year clinical experience as a Hand Therapist / Certification in Hand Therapy
Education: Bachelor's degree in health-related field and Graduate Degree and/or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy
Current License or Certification
Appropriate state licensure, certification, or registration (per state requirements), current and in good standing.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Requires prolonged standing, some bending, stooping pulling and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office and/or clinic equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and/or present charts, notes, and reports.
