Whether you’re looking for a scenic river trip on a tube or kayak or a scenic float through the Muskingum River canal or Snug Harbor in Buckeye Lake by Paddleboard, Pea Ohana Watersports has an experience for you and your family or group. River tubing, kayaking and paddleboarding are our specialty but we also offer other group activities such as guided kayak tours, fitness classes, history tours, and customized excursions based on your itinerary.

Qualifications:
The basics: At least 18 years of age by hiring date, valid driver's license with relatively clean driving record, available by potential start date of May 18, 2024.
Passionate adventurer: Possess a genuine love for the outdoors and water activities, eager to share enthusiasm with guests.
Customer service champion: Minimum 2 years of experience providing exceptional service, exceeding expectations and building rapport with diverse clientele.
Reliable team player: Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, strong teamwork skills, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Safety first: Committed to upholding all safety procedures and protocols, including emergency preparedness and first aid awareness.
o Candidates with American Red Cross or other applicable valid certifications are encouraged to apply.
Clear communicator: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to confidently explain procedures and engage with people of all backgrounds.
Tech-savvy: Comfortable navigating web-based booking systems, handling payments securely, and completing digital paperwork efficiently.
o Familiarity with software such as Square, PeekPro, Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word), & Google Suite encouraged.
Bonus points: Prior experience with paddling activities, leadership roles, and relevant certifications in water safety or recreation.
Responsibilities:
Welcome guests: Greet guests warmly, providing clear information and setting the tone for a positive experience.
Equipment handling: Load, unload, and maintain kayaks, paddleboards, river tubes, and other watercraft with efficiency and care.
Guiding and educating: Conduct tours, share knowledge of the local environment, and personalize experiences for individual guests.
Safety enforcement: Enforce all safety rules and regulations, properly fitting life jackets and being prepared to handle emergencies.
Technology utilization: Operate booking systems (PeekPro) accurately and efficiently, handle customer payments securely (Cash & Credit), and complete digital paperwork accurately.
Maintain a pristine environment: Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe landscape and river by participating in tasks such as clearing brush, removing weeds, and trimming trees as needed. This ensures a visually appealing and hazard-free experience for guests and protects the natural ecosystem.
Event representation: Participate in special events as needed, distributing marketing materials and promoting company products.
Teamwork and collaboration: Contribute to a positive team environment, supporting colleagues and maintaining open communication.
Retail sales: Assist with basic retail transactions as required.
Confidentiality: Maintain discretion regarding sensitive information and uphold company policies.
Conflict resolution: Address guest concerns or conflicts professionally and effectively.
Embrace flexible scheduling: Maintain a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to cater to peak business periods and ensure guest satisfaction.
Physical Demands: This role requires occasional lifting and carrying of equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, in both indoor and outdoor environments. Work may be performed in varying weather conditions, but the primary work area is not climate-controlled and in a heated environment.
