Group Rooms Coordinator manage the reservation system and reservations. Provide the hotel’s revenue management team with relevant reports to make timely strategic decision and implement the change as needed. Manage reservations, rates and restrictions and implement yield strategies to maximize RevPAR.
- Oversee the efficient operation of the reservations dept in selling guest rooms to accommodate guests needs and maximize revenue.
- Execute all reservations tasks to include supporting group, transient, wholesale, FIT, crew, and all other reservations activities to support the revenue team.
- Provide personalized service to ensure all reservations requirements are handled professionally, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and analyze rooms inventory utilizing Yield Management to maximize occupancy and increase average rate. The includes monitoring of group blocks, determining cut off dates and rate restrictions. Monitor group pick up, cut-off dates, rate, and room type availability to maximize hotel revenues and client/guest satisfaction.
- Process and handle group rooming lists, reservations, and associate reservations requests by inputting data into the reservations system.
- Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear directions to staff.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by director.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- At least one year customer service experience required
- Prior inbound calling experience preferred
- Must have excellent phone etiquette
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must have strong computer skills
- Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Must always ensure a teamwork environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be 18 years or older
