Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of simulation engineers to support internal customers with analytical evidence for proof of concept design
- Work closely with testing teams to correlate and implement improvement in simulation models
- Collaborate with Schaeffler regional and global colleagues to share best practices for CAE simulation tool chains and lessons learned
- Advise internal customers in all matters regarding structural durability simulations and design improvement recommendations to meet requirements
- Prepare recommendations and decision-making reports for R&D management to initiate methodological changes
- Maintain clear communication with internal customers to advise on design decisions and actively participate on internal cross-functional teams
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering related field
- Minimum of 5 years of applicable engineering experience
- Ability to simulate complex systems and articulate results in a straightforward, concise manner to support Schaeffler design teams
- Ability to present and discuss simulation topics with external customers
- Experience conducting simulations for system level models such as hybrid modules, e-axles, engine, and transmission components
- Experience/exposure to simulation tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, Simufact, Hypermesh, MATLAB, Simulink
- Experience in fatigue-based tools such as fesafe, FKM, FEMFAT, ANSYS fatigue
