Group Fitness Coordinator (Part-Time):

Territory: Chicago Ridge, Lyons, Crestwood, Matteson

The Group Fitness Coordinator is a club-based position who directly manages the Group Fitness program.

Job Description:

As a Group Fitness Coordinator at XSport, you are responsible for growing our Group Fitness program by coaching and developing instructors, casting and recruiting future instructors, as well as leading exceptional classes. With formats ranging from Yoga, Pilates, Cycle, Aqua, Barre, HIIT, Dance, and more, you will manage and support all of these formats. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Group Fitness.

Group Fitness Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Coach and develop instructors to deliver fun, educational, and motivating classes to our members 1-2 times per week.
• Recruit and casting exceptional instructors.
• Onboard new instructors.
• Perform weekly studio walkthroughs, ensuring that all studios are clean and organized , equipment is properly maintained, copies of schedule is present, and schedule posted is up to date.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and VP of Group Fitness to propose schedule changes.
• Communicate to each club schedule changes.
• Manage the Group Fitness instructor substitution requests
• Manage reporting for items such as but not limited to participation entry.
• Support launching of new programs and trainings/ social media.
• Teach minimum 2 classes per week

Instructor Requirements:

• Current Group Fitness Certification (NASM, ACE, AFAA, ACSM, AEA), Personal Training Certification, or a degree in a related field.
• Current CPR/AED Certification
• 3 or more years of Group Fitness instructor work experience is required
• Ability to perform the exercises in the Group Fitness class format.
• Promotes XSport products, programs, and services.
