As part of the Customer & Marketing Services Team, this role manages print orders and provides graphic design services to support and promote our staff, brand and usage of services. The graphics and printing/department assistant will provide support that is user-focused and supports professional communications that are aligned with the Center's mission and core values.
Core Job Functions:
- Perform graphic design duties and collaborate with a team, including idea generation, photo and image editing, layout, illustration, presentation design and publication updates using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Canva software.
- Coordinate and manage internal print jobs, products and promotional items through quality and brand standards review, prepress, scheduling, quote and billing tasks, focusing on timely, accurate and excellent customer service. This includes providing quality control and organization of brand standards, copyright review and serving as the admin of our print sites. Develop and maintain positive relationships with print and promotional item vendors.
- Serve as a subject expert and staff support by providing individualized support and small group training for printing, design and design software, such as Canva and Adobe CS Suite.
- Serve as department assistant, preparing purchase orders, reviewing time entries, assisting with travel and event planning. Work in project management system and take minutes at team meetings. Build and maintain records of work and analytics for measurement and feedback.
- Serve as backup to the communications assistant and provide general team support.
Technical & Professional Qualifications
- Associate's degree in graphic design or related field
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in standards and processes in graphic design for print and multimedia channels, which includes design theory, typography, etc.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft, Google, Canva and Adobe CS Software
- Excellent oral/written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Creative, self-starter and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management, organization and prioritization skills, managing and meeting deadlines
